Associate Committee

The Associate Committee supports BroadbandMT by enhancing the value of membership and the engagement opportunities for all Associate Members. The committee is comprised of five, elected Associate Members in good standing. One member serves as the Chair of the committee and on the BroadbandMT Board of Directors. The committee serves as the central communication link between BroadbandMT and our Associate Members with a voting presence at the Board of Directors table.  

The Associate Committee plays a crucial role in ensuring that Associate Members have a voice in BroadbandMT's activities and that their membership continues to add value.  Please reach out to them with any ideas or concerns that you have!

Duties and Responsibilities

The Associate Committee serves as a central communications link between BroadbandMT and our vendor, Associate Members. Two positions open each year before the annual Showcase and terms run for two years. Some of the responsibilities of the Associate Committee:

  • Providing any Associate Member feedback or ideas to BroadbandMT staff
  • Engaging vendor participation
  • Membership benefit ideas for our Associate Members
  • Assist BroadbandMT staff with companies that have not paid dues
  • Mandatory attendance at BroadbandMT Annual Meeting (end of August) and Showcase (early to mid-January)
  • Monthly (remote) Committee Meetings
  • Bi-weekly (remote) Committee Meetings in the months preceding the Showcase
  • Assisting with speaker ideas and topics for Annual Meeting and Showcase
  • Assisting with session and meeting logistics, including introducing speakers, at the Showcase
  • Assisting with varied tasks at the Annual Meeting
